Eleven Months and Mother's Day

Can you believe it?!!!!
This little man hit the eleven-month mark on Mother's Day.

Time is just whizzing by, I tell ya.

This little cutie is developing quite the personality. :)

We went to the pediatrician two weeks ago to check his ears (after a double infection - the fourth), and everything looked good! So we know that his ears are healing between infections and we'll hold off on tubes for now -  thank goodness.

At that appointment, little man weighed in at 23 pounds, 6 ounces.
Our best attempts at measuring him get almost 31 inches in length!

Max is wearing all 12 month clothes and some 12-18 month items. For some reason
I feel like he is still so young to be wearing that size...but then I remember he will turn one
in LESS THAN A MONTH!

Max is still a very good sleeper - sleeping 11-11.5 hours at night and
taking a good 1.5 hour nap in the morning and a 2 hour nap in the afternoon.

Poor kiddo is starting the process of cutting his first molars, and it's giving all of us a run for our money! Little man can soak through a shirt in a matter of minutes and is very particular about when he does or doesn't want to chew on something. Even with the relief from ibuprofen, Max needs a little more cuddling - but this Mama is more than happy to oblige. :)

Max is now mostly feeding himself and just eating finger foods or table food - no more purees.
Meal time is definitely more messy, but it's also kind of fun. :)

Little man LOVES to push things (toy or not) and walk behind them. He is getting more confident in a upright position, but still not walking on his own yet. All in good time. ;)

Books are a new obsession for our little guy. He often times heads towards his bookshelf instead of his toy bins and will spend good stretches of time just flipping the pages and looking at pictures.
I love that we're raising a little bookworm!

He also loves to push around his pop-n-go car and make a "bbbbrrrn" sound -
while doing the peg leg crawl. SO cute.

Max is very good at signing "more" and will sometimes sign "all done." When he feels like it, he'll wave bye bye. :) He's also started saying "Dada" when Clay comes into the room.

If Max can climb over or under it, he will!

In general, Max is just very busy - and very curious (hence the infrequent blog posts).
It is fun to see him exploring his world and discovering how things work - and trying to keep him from playing in the toilet!

Max and his Daddy did a great job of spoiling me on Mother's Day -
they brought me breakfast in bed, the tray decorated with a vase of lovely pink peonies and sweet cards. I even got to take a nap and had some time to work on some projects!

I am so blessed to be mama to this little bundle of energy. :)

Guess who discovered the toilet paper this week?!!

P.S. Empty toilet paper rolls are fun too. :)
